Description
Deliciously cozy Apple Cinnamon Rolls perfect for fall, filled with sweet apples and warm spices.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12.4 ounce) tube refrigerated cinnamon rolls with included icing
- 2 cups Granny Smith apples, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously coat a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
- Peel and finely dice the apples. In a small bowl, combine diced apples, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Mix until evenly coated.
- Remove cinnamon rolls from packaging. Using a rolling pin or your fingers, flatten each cinnamon roll into a disk approximately 7–8 cm in diameter.
- Fit each flattened cinnamon roll disk into a muffin cup, pressing gently to form a shallow well.
- Fill each cinnamon roll cup with a generous spoonful of prepared apple mixture. Gently press filling to compact it slightly.
- Transfer muffin tin to preheated oven and bake for 13–15 minutes or until cinnamon rolls are golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool in tin for 5 minutes. Drizzle reserved icing over warm apple cinnamon rolls before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
