Description
Apple Cinnamon Yogurt Bark is a delightful and healthy snack made with Greek yogurt, sweet apples, and crunchy toppings, perfect for a quick treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 medium apple, diced (preferably a sweet variety like Fuji or Honeycrisp)
- 1/4 cup granola (your choice)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds)
- A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- Line a baking sheet (approximately 9×13 inches) with parchment paper, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides for easy removal.
- Pour the yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Using a spatula, spread it evenly to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Evenly distribute the diced apple over the yogurt layer. Then sprinkle the granola and chopped nuts on top, pressing them gently into the yogurt mixture to ensure they stick.
- Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for about 4-6 hours, or until solid.
- Once frozen, remove the yogurt bark from the freezer and carefully lift it out of the baking sheet using the parchment paper. Break it into pieces or cut it into squares.
- Serve immediately or store the pieces in an airtight container in the freezer for a grab-and-go snack later.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can use flavored yogurt instead of plain.
- Feel free to mix in different fruits or toppings based on your preference.
