  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup caramel topping or caramel apple dip

Instructions

  1. Set oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and allow to fully preheat.
  2. Gently roll out the pie dough onto a pizza pan or baking sheet, shaping a 1/4-inch thick crust.
  3. Combine granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and ground cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  4. Toss apple slices with the prepared sugar mixture until apples are evenly coated.
  5. Distribute the coated apple slices evenly across the dough surface.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, and ground cinnamon for the topping.
  7. Cut in softened butter using a fork or pastry blender until mixture forms medium-sized crumbs.
  8. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the layered apples.
  9. Place in preheated oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until topping is golden and apples are tender.
  10. Remove from oven, drizzle with caramel topping, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.
