- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 4 slices of whole-grain or sourdough bread
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Clean and slice the mushrooms. Mince the garlic. Halve the avocados, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork and mix in lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Sauté the Mushrooms: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Add minced garlic during the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the Bread: While the mushrooms are cooking, toast the bread slices until golden and crispy.
- Assemble the Toast: Spread the mashed avocado generously on each slice of toasted bread. Top with the sautéed mushrooms.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh herbs and additional salt and pepper if desired. Serve immediately.
