Ingredients

  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the cheese tortellini to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions (3-5 minutes) until they float to the top and are tender.
  3. Drain the tortellini in a colander, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy (5-7 minutes).
  5. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
  6. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Lower the heat to medium-low and add the softened cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  8. Gradually pour in the heavy cream while stirring until well combined and heated through.
  9. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted into the sauce.
  10. Add Italian seasoning and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  11. Gently fold the cooked tortellini into the cream sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  12. Stir in the crispy bacon until evenly distributed.
  13. Serve the tortellini onto plates or bowls.
  14. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
  15. Serve immediately while hot and creamy.
