Delicious and easy-to-make Bacon Egg and Cheese Crescent Rolls perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
- 1 tablespoon butter melted
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate. Once cool, crumble or chop it.
- In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, a splash of milk (optional), salt, and pepper.
- In the same skillet (drain most of the bacon grease), scramble the eggs over medium heat until just set. Remove from heat and stir in the crumbled bacon and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place about 2 tablespoons of the egg mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Top with the remaining cheese.
- Roll up each crescent from the wide end to the point. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with melted butter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up. Serve immediately.
Notes
- To enhance flavor, consider adding herbs like chives or parsley.
- These rolls can be made ahead and reheated for a quick breakfast.
- Feel free to substitute with your choice of cheese or add vegetables.
