Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, bacon, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into a greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Spread the ketchup over the top of the meatloaf to create a flavorful glaze.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
