Baklava Muffins are a delightful combination of sweet and nutty flavors, inspired by the traditional baklava pastry.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 cup honey (for drizzling after baking)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease well.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, honey, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, combine chopped walnuts, pistachios, almonds, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves.
- Gently fold the nut mixture into the muffin batter.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes.
- Transfer muffins to a wire rack and drizzle each muffin with honey while still warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can toast the nuts before adding them to the batter.
- These muffins can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
