- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla until fully combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir just until combined; do not overmix.
- Spread half of the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange the sliced bananas over the batter in an even layer.
- Spoon dollops of the cream cheese over the bananas, then gently spread the remaining batter on top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
