- 450 g cooked and shredded chicken breast
- 240 ml barbecue sauce
- 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 slider buns
- 40 g red onion, diced
- 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce until all pieces are well coated.
- Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and arrange the bottom halves on a baking tray.
- Distribute the prepared barbecue chicken evenly over the bottom half of each bun.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the chicken mixture.
- Place the tray under a preheated broiler for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and begins to bubble.
- Remove from the oven. Top each slider with diced red onion and chopped cilantro.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
- You can use rotisserie chicken to save time on cooking the chicken.
- These sliders can be prepared ahead of time and baked before serving.
