BBQ Chicken Slider Buns are a delicious and simple recipe that packs a flavor punch, perfect for gatherings or a casual meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g cooked and shredded chicken breast
  • 240 ml barbecue sauce
  • 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 slider buns
  • 40 g red onion, diced
  • 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce until all pieces are well coated.
  2. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and arrange the bottom halves on a baking tray.
  3. Distribute the prepared barbecue chicken evenly over the bottom half of each bun.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the chicken mixture.
  5. Place the tray under a preheated broiler for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and begins to bubble.
  6. Remove from the oven. Top each slider with diced red onion and chopped cilantro.
  7. Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
  • You can use rotisserie chicken to save time on cooking the chicken.
