Description

Indulge in this decadent Brownie Pecan Pie that combines rich brownie flavors with a crunchy pecan topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup whole pecans for topping
  • 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust (or homemade if preferred)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the chocolate chips and butter, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  3. Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Stir in chopped pecans.
  7. Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.
  8. Decoratively arrange the whole pecans over the surface.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  10. Allow to cool completely before slicing to ensure clean cuts and a fudgy texture.
