Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the orzo pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked orzo, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and torn basil leaves.
- Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic glaze over the salad, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Gently toss to combine all the ingredients, ensuring the orzo is well coated with the dressing.
- Let the salad sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature, garnished with additional basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze if desired.
