Description
A delicious dessert that combines the flavors of caramel and apple in a moist poke cake.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box Butter Pecan Cake Mix
- 1 (21 oz) can Apple Pie Filling
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 (12.25 oz) jar Caramel Ice Cream Topping
- 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip
- 1 cup Toffee Bits
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, beat together cake mix, apple pie filling, vanilla, cinnamon, eggs, and milk.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, combine sweetened condensed milk and caramel. Set aside.
- When the cake is done, generously poke holes in the top of the cake. Pour caramel mixture over the holes. Let cake cool completely.
- Once the cake is cooled, sprinkle 1/2 cup toffee bits over the cake. Then spread thawed Cool Whip over the cake.
- Sprinkle remaining toffee bits over the Cool Whip.
Notes
- Make sure the cake is completely cooled before adding the Cool Whip to prevent it from melting.
- For added flavor, consider drizzling extra caramel on top before serving.
