Description

A delicious dessert that combines the flavors of caramel and apple in a moist poke cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 box Butter Pecan Cake Mix
  • 1 (21 oz) can Apple Pie Filling
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 (14 oz) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 (12.25 oz) jar Caramel Ice Cream Topping
  • 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip
  • 1 cup Toffee Bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together cake mix, apple pie filling, vanilla, cinnamon, eggs, and milk.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
  4. While the cake is baking, combine sweetened condensed milk and caramel. Set aside.
  5. When the cake is done, generously poke holes in the top of the cake. Pour caramel mixture over the holes. Let cake cool completely.
  6. Once the cake is cooled, sprinkle 1/2 cup toffee bits over the cake. Then spread thawed Cool Whip over the cake.
  7. Sprinkle remaining toffee bits over the Cool Whip.

Notes

  • Make sure the cake is completely cooled before adding the Cool Whip to prevent it from melting.
  • For added flavor, consider drizzling extra caramel on top before serving.
