- ¾ cup buttermilk
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened (for garlic butter)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt (for garlic butter)
- Pizza sauce (for topping)
- Mozzarella cheese (for topping)
- Your favorite pizza toppings
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and grease a 12-inch pizza pan thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until combined.
- Cut cold butter into flour mixture using a pastry cutter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, distributing evenly throughout the flour mixture.
- Create a well in the center and add buttermilk and sour cream, mixing gently until dough forms.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently 3-4 times until smooth.
- Roll or press dough into a 12-inch circle and transfer to the prepared pizza pan.
- Make garlic butter by combining softened butter with garlic, herbs, and seasonings.
- Brush the crust with half the garlic butter and poke holes with a fork throughout.
- Pre-bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden and set but not fully cooked.
- Remove from oven, brush with more garlic butter, and add desired toppings.
- Return to oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and the crust is golden.
- Brush the edges with remaining garlic butter and let cool for 3-5 minutes before slicing.

- If you don’t have buttermilk, you can substitute with regular milk mixed with a little vinegar.
