Description
Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls are quick and delicious treats filled with shredded chicken, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese, wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough.
Ingredients
- Crescent roll dough: 1 can (8 oz)
- Cooked chicken: 2 cups, shredded
- Cream cheese: 4 oz, softened
- Shredded cheddar cheese: 1 cup
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Parsley: 1 tablespoon, chopped (fresh or dried)
- Salt and pepper: to taste
- Olive oil or cooking spray: for greasing the baking sheet
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a clean surface.
- Take a triangle of dough, place a spoonful of the chicken filling at the wider end, and roll it towards the pointed end, tucking in the sides.
- Place the rolled crescent on the prepared baking sheet with the point facing down and repeat until all dough and filling are used.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the filling with vegetables or spices to suit your taste.
- Leftover rotisserie chicken works great for this recipe.
- These rolls can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
