Description

Cheesy Garlic Pesto Chicken Sliders are a mouthwatering delight made with shredded chicken, pesto, and melted cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup prepared basil pesto
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the basil pesto. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
  3. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally (keeping the top and bottom halves intact as single sheets).
  4. Place the bottom half of the buns in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Evenly spread the pesto chicken over the bottom buns, then top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  6. Place the top half of the buns over the filling.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  10. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.

  • Feel free to use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
