Description
Cheesy Pizza Bombs are a quick and tempting treat that combines the flavors of pizza into bite-sized dough balls.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup mini pepperoni (or regular pepperoni, chopped)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or muffin tin to prevent sticking.
- Take each biscuit and flatten it into a circle about 4 inches in diameter. You can use your hands or a rolling pin.
- Place 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce in the center of each flattened biscuit. Top with a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella and a few pieces of pepperoni.
- Carefully gather the edges of each dough circle and pinch them together to seal completely, forming a ball. Make sure there are no openings where cheese could leak out during baking.
- Place each pizza bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet or in muffin tin cups, leaving some space between them.
- Brush the tops of the dough balls with melted butter. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bombs are golden brown and cooked through.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
