Description
A delightful snack bake featuring cheesy taco cups made with ground beef and topped with fresh ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
- 450 grams ground beef
- 1 package canned biscuit dough (approximately 8 biscuits, 340 grams total)
- 28 grams taco seasoning (1 standard packet)
- 100 grams cheddar cheese, hand shredded
- Sour cream, to serve
- Diced tomatoes, to serve
- Shredded lettuce, to serve
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C and grease a standard muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
- Separate biscuits and carefully split each horizontally to create thinner disks. Press each half into the muffin tin wells, ensuring dough covers bottom and sides.
- Heat a medium skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add taco seasoning and required water as per packet instructions. Stir well and simmer until thickened.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and combined.
- Evenly spoon beef and cheese mixture into prepared biscuit cups.
- Bake in preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes, until biscuit cups are golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
- Allow taco cups to cool slightly. Carefully lift each cup from the muffin tin using a butter knife if needed.
- Top each cup with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and shredded lettuce. Serve warm.
Notes
- Feel free to customize toppings based on preference.
- Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
