- 1 teaspoon flaked sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Surface: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring complete coverage.
- Melt the Chocolate: Gently melt the semi-sweet chocolate using a double boiler method or in 30-second intervals in a microwave, stirring after each interval until completely smooth and fluid.
- Form the Bark Base: Pour the melted semi-sweet chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly into a layer approximately 0.5 cm (¼ inch) thick.
- Add Mix-ins: Immediately distribute the broken mini pretzels and chopped dried cherries evenly over the melted chocolate. Use a spatula to gently press the mix-ins into the chocolate base.
- Apply Drizzle (Optional): If using white chocolate for decoration, melt it and drizzle it artfully over the bark.
- Final Seasoning: Sprinkle uniformly with flaked sea salt, if desired, for an enhanced salty contrast.
- Chill to Set: Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator and chill for a minimum of 30 minutes, or until the bark is completely firm and set.
- Portion and Store: Once solidified, break the bark into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
