Description

Cherry Pie Filling Breakfast Wraps are a delightful treat that combines creamy, sweet cherry pie filling and a smooth cream cheese mixture, all wrapped in a golden tortilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cups cherry pie filling
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, optional
  • 4 large flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • 0.25 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter, for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), and honey (if using). Whisk until smooth and well incorporated.
  2. Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean, flat surface. Spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture down the center of each tortilla.
  3. Spoon approximately 6 tablespoons of cherry pie filling over the cream cheese mixture on each tortilla.
  4. Fold in the sides of each tortilla towards the center, then tightly roll each one from the bottom up to create a wrap.
  5. If desired, lightly brush the exterior of each wrap with melted butter.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until they are golden brown and heated through.
  7. Transfer the cooked wraps to individual plates. Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with sliced almonds, if desired. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free option, substitute cream cheese and Greek yogurt with dairy-free alternatives.
  • Experiment with other fruit fillings if desired.
  • Ensure the skillet is well-preheated for even cooking.
