- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a mixing bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix until the beef is well-coated. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare the Vegetables: While the beef is marinating, slice the bell pepper, and chop the broccoli and green onions. Set aside.
- Heat the Oil: In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the hot pan in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
- Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same pan, add garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add bell pepper and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until vegetables are tender yet crisp.
- Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables. Add sesame oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with green onions.
