Description
A delightful treat combining the tangy flavor of cranberry sauce with rich dark chocolate, perfect for dessert or as a snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)
- 2 tablespoons crushed nuts or shredded coconut (optional topping)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop cranberry sauce into small mounds using a spoon or small cookie scoop. Freeze for at least 20 minutes until firm.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth. Let it cool slightly.
- Remove cranberry mounds from the freezer. Dip each into the melted chocolate using a fork, letting the excess drip off. Return to the tray and immediately sprinkle with desired toppings.
- Chill the chocolate-covered cranberry bites in the fridge for 10–15 minutes or until set. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Use whole-berry cranberry sauce for best texture and shape.
- Add toppings quickly before the chocolate sets for best adhesion.
- Serve chilled for a firmer bite and better texture.
