- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk the egg whites and granulated sugar over a double boiler until warm and frothy. Beat until stiff, glossy peaks form.
- Sift almond flour, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar together. Gently fold into the meringue until the batter is smooth.
- Spoon the batter into a piping bag and pipe small circles on the baking sheets. Tap to remove air bubbles. Bake for about 13 minutes.
- Mix softened butter and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, whipping until fluffy.
- Allow macaron shells to cool, then pipe the peanut butter filling on half, and sandwich with the remaining halves.
