Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the granulated sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for coating.
- Scoop dough into 1 1/2-inch balls, then roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place the coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the cookies are slightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, dust cookies lightly with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
