Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls with the heartiness of French toast, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • Reserved icing from cinnamon rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut Cinnamon Rolls: Open cans of cinnamon rolls and slice each roll into quarters. Reserve icing for later use.
  3. Assemble Base Layer: Arrange cut cinnamon roll pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Prepare Custard Mixture: Whisk eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar in a medium bowl until fully combined.
  5. Soak and Layer: Pour custard mixture evenly over the arranged cinnamon roll pieces. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  6. Bake: Place dish in preheated oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden and set in the center.
  7. Add Toppings: Remove casserole from oven. Drizzle maple syrup and reserved icing over the top while still warm.
  8. Serve: Allow to cool slightly before cutting into portions and serving warm.
