- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 1 tbsp mustard (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard for the glaze. Spread evenly over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Allow the meatloaf to rest before slicing to retain moisture.
- This meatloaf can be served with mashed potatoes and green beans for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
