Description

A classic meatloaf recipe that is delicious and loved by everyone, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp mustard (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
  4. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard for the glaze. Spread evenly over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  • Allow the meatloaf to rest before slicing to retain moisture.
  • This meatloaf can be served with mashed potatoes and green beans for a complete meal.
