- 8 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup pesto sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and pesto sauce, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy pesto sauce. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.

- You can use any pasta shape you prefer.

- This dish can be made lighter by using half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
