Description

Creamy Prime Rib Pasta is a luxurious, comforting dish that combines tender pasta with a rich cream sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and succulent prime rib for a satisfying dinner experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) uncooked pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 7 oz (200g) cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning or smoked paprika
  • 1 pound (450g) cooked prime rib, sliced into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil and salt it generously.
  2. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the pasta.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3–4 minutes until tender.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and add the Parmesan cheese and Cajun seasoning.
  8. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  9. Loosen the sauce with reserved pasta water and let it simmer for 1 minute. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  10. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until evenly coated.
  11. Gently fold in the prime rib to warm through.
  12. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Ensure the prime rib is pre-cooked to avoid overcooking it in the sauce.
  • This dish pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
