Description

Crispy Sweet Potato Fries are a delicious and healthy alternative to regular fries, offering a crunchy texture and a hint of spice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • For the Spicy Dipping Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (or more for extra heat)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded for maximum crispiness.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the fries are baking, prepare the spicy dipping sauce by combining mayonnaise, sriracha, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well until smooth.
  7. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
  8. Serve the crispy sweet potato fries hot with the spicy dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to control the spiciness of the fries.
  • For extra crispiness, soak the cut sweet potatoes in water for 30 minutes before baking.
  • These fries can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
