A simple and delicious crock pot cubed steak recipe, perfect for an easy dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cubed steaks
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the cubed steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the cubed steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. This step adds flavor but can be skipped if you’re short on time.
- Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Layer the seared cubed steaks on top of the onions.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Pour this mixture over the cubed steaks in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the steaks are tender and the gravy is thickened.
- Once cooked, serve the cubed steak with the gravy over mashed potatoes or rice, and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider marinating the steaks in Worcestershire sauce before cooking.
- Feel free to add vegetables like carrots or peas for a complete meal.
