Dorito Casserole is a quick and easy family favorite that combines ground beef, cheese, and Doritos for a delicious meal.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel), drained
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (9.75 oz) Nacho Cheese Doritos, slightly crushed
- 1/2 cup chopped onions (optional)
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and chopped onions if using. Mix until well combined.
- Lightly crush the Doritos in the bag — don’t pulverize them, just break them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the crushed Doritos.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the chips.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Layer the remaining Doritos over the cheese, then top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- Can be customized with additional toppings like jalapeños or olives.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
