Delightful and fun cinnamon rolls with a cookie twist, perfect for a playful treat! These Easy Cookie Monster Cinnamon Rolls are filled with Oreos and topped with blue frosting.


Ingredients

  • 2 tubes Refrigerated cinnamon roll dough – e.g., Pillsbury Grands
  • As needed drops Blue food coloring – Gel preferred
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour – For dusting surface
  • 8 Oreo cookies – Whole, for stuffing
  • 6 Oreo cookies – Crushed
  • ⅓ cup Mini chocolate chips – Optional but delicious
  • 2 tablespoon Butter – Melted, for brushing
  • 4 oz Cream cheese – Softened
  • 3 tablespoon Butter – Softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar – Adjust to taste
  • As needed drops Blue food coloring – For desired color
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract – Optional
  • 12 Candy eyes – 1 pair per roll
  • 3 Oreo cookies – Crushed, for garnish
  • 2 tablespoon White chocolate chips – Optional

Instructions

  1. Open cinnamon rolls and unroll each one carefully on a floured surface. Add a small amount of blue food coloring and knead until evenly blue (wear gloves!).
  2. Crush half the Oreos and sprinkle over blue dough. Add a few whole Oreos on top and press gently into dough.
  3. Roll up the dough loosely and place rolls into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  4. Brush tops with melted butter and bake at 375°F for 18–22 minutes, or until set and lightly golden.
  5. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Slowly add powdered sugar, vanilla, and blue coloring. Adjust for sweetness and vibrancy.
  6. Spread blue frosting over warm rolls. Add candy eyes and sprinkle with crushed cookies and optional white chocolate chips.
  7. Best served warm. For extra magic, pair with a glass of cold milk!
