Description

Easy Homemade Garlic Knots are a delightful, buttery, and flavorful bread roll that is perfect as an appetizer or snack. These knots are tied with love and packed with garlic and herbs for an amazing flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Let the pizza dough come to room temperature for 30 minutes if refrigerated.
  2. Lightly flour your surface and divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions.
  3. Roll each piece into a 6-8 inch rope and tie into a knot. Tuck the ends underneath.
  4. Place knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
  5. Cover with a towel and let rise again for 20-30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Meanwhile, melt butter in a pan. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  9. Remove butter from heat. Stir in chopped parsley and salt.
  10. Brush the hot garlic butter generously over baked knots.
  11. Sprinkle grated parmesan over the warm knots before serving.
  12. Serve warm with marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like oregano or thyme to the garlic butter.
  • These knots can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
