Description
A delightful and refreshing dessert made with a moist white cake soaked in strawberry jello and topped with Cool Whip and fresh strawberries.

- 1 box white cake mix
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 (3 oz) package strawberry JELLO
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip, thawed
- Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25–28 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cake completely, about 45 minutes.
- Using a wooden spoon handle or skewer, poke holes all over the cake about an inch apart.
- Dissolve strawberry jello in 1 cup boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
- Slowly pour jello over the cake, letting it seep into the holes.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Spread Cool Whip over the chilled cake and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
Notes
- Make sure the cake is completely cool before adding jello.
- Chill overnight for best results.
- Add diced strawberries to Cool Whip for extra flavor.
