Description

A delicious and colorful salad featuring fresh ingredients, crispy bacon, and a tangy balsamic vinaigrette.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinaigrette (homemade preferred)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Wash and dry all fresh produce. Chop romaine into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy (about 6-8 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  3. Boil the eggs: Bring a pot of water to boil. Add eggs and boil for 9-12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs. Cool under cold running water, then peel.
  4. Chop everything: Dice avocados, halve cherry tomatoes, slice cucumber and red onion, and crumble blue cheese.
  5. Assemble the salad: In a large bowl, combine lettuce, bacon bits, chopped eggs, tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion rings, and blue cheese.
  6. Dress and serve: Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette over the salad before serving. Toss gently to coat.
