A delicious and healthy snack made with dried figs, oats, and nut butter, perfect for on-the-go energy.
Ingredients

- 1 cup dried figs, chopped
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond butter (or any nut/seed butter of your choice)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans)
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped figs, rolled oats, almond butter, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until well incorporated.
- Stir in the chopped nuts, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt until evenly distributed. Fold in chocolate chips or cacao nibs if using.
- Take small portions of the mixture (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll them into bite-sized balls. Wet your hands slightly if the mixture is too sticky.
- Place the rolled bites onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Transfer the chilled bites to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week or in the freezer for longer shelf life.
