Description

Delightful frozen dessert bars featuring a creamy filling, caramel apple topping, and a graham cracker crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 large apples, finely diced
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce for drizzle on top
  • A sprinkle of sea salt (optional)
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon until fully combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. In another bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Gently fold the whipped cream into this mixture until well blended and smooth.
  6. In a medium bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and half the caramel sauce. Ensure the apples are evenly coated.
  7. Spread half of the cream layer over the cooled graham cracker crust.
  8. Evenly distribute the caramel apple filling on top of the cream layer.
  9. Pour the remaining cream over the apple filling and smooth to the edges.
  10. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on the top layer.
  11. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid. For the best texture, let them freeze overnight.
  12. When ready to serve, remove from the freezer and let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes for easier slicing.
  13. Cut into bars and optionally garnish with chopped nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt.
  14. Serve these delightful bars chilled and watch them disappear as guests rave over the flavors!
