Description
Delicious garlic butter lobster and scallops, perfect for a special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large lobster tails, thawed if frozen
- 1 lb sea scallops (patted dry)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika (optional, for color)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prep the Seafood: Butterfly lobster tails by cutting down the top of the shell and lifting the meat above. Pat scallops dry to get that restaurant-style sear—this step is key for a showstopping seafood feast.
- Sear the Scallops: In a hot skillet with olive oil, sear scallops for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside. This sear gives that five-star dinner finish and crave-worthy crust.
- Cook the Lobster: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Place lobster tails flesh-side down and cook for 4–5 minutes. Flip, add lemon juice, and baste with the garlic butter. This locks in rich buttery flavor and coastal dinner vibes.
- Toss It All Together: Return scallops to the pan and spoon hot garlic butter over everything. Add a pinch of paprika if desired for a smoky kick. Simmer 1–2 minutes for that perfect flavor infusion.
- Plate & Serve: Plate lobster in the center, scallops around it, and drizzle with extra garlic butter. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges for a next-level presentation that’s date night perfection.
Notes
- Ensure scallops are patted dry to get the best sear.
