A quick and delicious ground beef and broccoli rice bowl, perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), mixing well to combine.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
- In a separate pot, heat the cooked rice if necessary.
- To serve, place a generous scoop of rice in a bowl, top with the ground beef and broccoli mixture, and drizzle with sesame oil.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of soy sauce based on your taste preference.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes.
