Description
A quick and flavorful ground beef and spinach skillet dish topped with feta cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 2 cups of fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup of feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes until they become soft and fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, ensuring the beef is browned evenly, and drain any excess fat if needed.
- Mix in the chopped spinach, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the spinach is wilted and well incorporated with the beef.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the mixture, allowing it to melt slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. This flavorful dish pairs wonderfully with rice, couscous, or toasted flatbread.
