Description

A quick and flavorful ground beef and spinach skillet dish topped with feta cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 2 cups of fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes until they become soft and fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, ensuring the beef is browned evenly, and drain any excess fat if needed.
  3. Mix in the chopped spinach, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the spinach is wilted and well incorporated with the beef.
  4. Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the mixture, allowing it to melt slightly.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. This flavorful dish pairs wonderfully with rice, couscous, or toasted flatbread.
