- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Begin by preparing your chicken. Cut the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. To test if the oil is ready, drop a small piece of bread into the oil; if it sizzles and browns quickly, the oil is hot enough.
- Carefully add the breaded chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked nuggets to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve the chicken nuggets warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
