Description

A deliciously flavorful Honey Butter Roasted Chicken recipe that combines the sweetness of honey with butter for a perfectly roasted chicken.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (1.82 kg / 45 lbs)
  • 4 tbsp softened butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • Juice + zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 potatoes, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix butter, honey, garlic, lemon juice, and zest. Rub all over the chicken.
  3. Place vegetables in a baking pan and set the chicken on top.
  4. Roast for 60–75 minutes until golden.
  5. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  • Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
  • Letting the chicken rest helps retain its juices.
