Description

Layered Salad is a vibrant and refreshing dish that’s perfect for parties and gatherings, featuring a combination of fresh vegetables, savory bacon, and a creamy dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup sliced black olives
  • 4 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  2. In a clear glass bowl or trifle dish, start layering the salad ingredients in this order: shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, green onions, and black olives.
  3. Pour half of the dressing evenly over the layers. Repeat layering once more with remaining ingredients and pour the rest of the dressing on top.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled as a fresh, crunchy side dish perfect for potlucks or family dinners.
