A delicious and simple twist on classic chicken parmesan, featuring gooey mozzarella cheese and flavorful marinara sauce, all melted between crispy slices of buttered bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded or sliced)
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese (or 1 cup shredded mozzarella)
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients
  2. Butter the Bread: Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the buttered side and press gently so it adheres.
  3. Heat the Pan: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Assemble the Sandwiches
  5. Layer the Filling: Place one slice of bread (buttered side down) in the skillet. Add a slice of mozzarella cheese, a layer of shredded chicken, a spoonful of marinara sauce, and another slice of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Top with Bread: Place a second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
