- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded or sliced)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese (or 1 cup shredded mozzarella)
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

- Prepare the Ingredients
- Butter the Bread: Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the buttered side and press gently so it adheres.
- Heat the Pan: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Assemble the Sandwiches
- Layer the Filling: Place one slice of bread (buttered side down) in the skillet. Add a slice of mozzarella cheese, a layer of shredded chicken, a spoonful of marinara sauce, and another slice of mozzarella cheese.
- Top with Bread: Place a second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.

- Toast and Flip: Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwich and toast the other side for another 3-4 minutes. Reduce heat if the bread browns too quickly.
