Description

Indulge in the deliciousness of a loaded baked potato topped with juicy steak, cheese, and all your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your favorite cut)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 slices crispy bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Optional: hot sauce or steak sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub potatoes clean, prick them several times with a fork, and rub with olive oil and salt.
  2. Place potatoes directly on oven rack and bake for 45–60 minutes, until tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. While potatoes bake, season steak generously with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook steak to desired doneness (about 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare). Rest steak for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  4. Once potatoes are done, slice them open lengthwise and fluff the insides with a fork. Add butter and salt to taste.
  5. Top each baked potato with sliced steak, shredded cheddar, sour cream, bacon bits, and green onions.
  6. Serve immediately with optional hot sauce or steak sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For fluffier potatoes, consider baking them on a rack instead of directly on the oven rack.
