Ingredients
- Salmon Fillet: 1 large, 2-pound fillet
- Pure Maple Syrup: ¼ cup
- Dijon Mustard: 2 tablespoons
- Whole Grain Mustard: 2 tablespoons
- Low-Sodium Soy Sauce or Tamari: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
- Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon
- Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper: To taste
- Fresh Parsley or Dill: 2 tablespoons, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil until smooth.
- Place the salmon skin-side down and season with salt and pepper. Brush two-thirds of the glaze over the salmon.
- Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes until it flakes easily and is opaque.
- For caramelization, brush the remaining glaze over the salmon and broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
- Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with parsley or dill and serve.
