- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup toasted pecans, chopped
- 2 thick Belgian-style waffles (store-bought or homemade)
- Whipped cream
- 1 tbsp sugar + 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (for cinnamon sugar)
Instructions
- In a bowl, blend cream cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in half the pecans.
- Heat waffles until golden and crisp — toaster or oven both work.
- Spread the maple cream cheese mixture generously over warm waffles. Sprinkle the rest of the pecans on top.
- Add a dollop of whipped cream and finish with a pinch of cinnamon sugar.
Notes
- For best results, use freshly toasted pecans.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for larger servings.
- Feel free to substitute walnuts if you prefer or have them on hand.
