Description

Marshmallow Caramel Crunch Balls are a delightful and sweet treat made by coating marshmallows in rich caramel sauce and rolling them in crispy cereal for a crunchy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (10 oz) large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups crispy rice cereal (or any crunchy cereal of your choice)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the brown sugar and heavy cream, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Using a fork or skewer, dip each marshmallow into the caramel sauce, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  6. Let the excess caramel drip off before placing the marshmallow into a bowl of crispy cereal.
  7. Roll the caramel-coated marshmallow in the cereal, pressing gently to ensure it’s evenly coated.
  8. Place the coated marshmallows on a parchment-lined tray.
  9. Allow the marshmallow caramel crunch balls to set at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  10. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • These treats can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
  • Feel free to use different types of cereal for variety.
  • Ensure the caramel is thick enough to coat the marshmallows well.
