Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions until it’s cool but pliable. Cut into 9 even squares.
  2. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Add a spoonful of cream cheese mixture to each square, then top with cherry pie filling.
  5. Fold the corners slightly or leave open for a rustic look.
  6. Beat the egg and brush the pastry edges for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving to allow the filling to set.
