Description

Delicious and spooky Monster Eyeballs Truffles perfect for Halloween or any fun gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 19.1 ounces family-size package of golden Oreos
  • ¾ package (8-ounce) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 12 ounce bag of colored candy melts
  • ½ cup color-matching sprinkles
  • 24 large candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreos in a food processor and crush until well-crumbled.
  2. Add in the cream cheese and pulse until well combined.
  3. Use a 1 ½ Tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop out dough and roll it into balls.
  4. Place each truffle on a large cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Place the truffles in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes or up to an hour to set.
  6. When ready to decorate, heat the candy in a medium mixing bowl in the microwave for 45 seconds and stir well.
  7. Continue heating and stirring in 10-20 second increments until smooth.
  8. Dip the set truffles in melted candy until fully coated and place on a clean sheet of parchment paper.
  9. Press a large eye onto the front of each truffle and sprinkle with matching sprinkles as “hair.”
  10. Allow to set in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until the candy has hardened.
  11. Enjoy your little monsters!

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • For best results, let the truffles cool completely before dipping them in the candy melts.
  • Experiment with different colored candy melts and sprinkles for a variety of spooky looks.
